Born 1943 in Malmö. Ruud Ekstrand is architect SIR (the International Association of Swedish
Interior Architects) and furniture designer. He has in an excellent way kept the heritage from
Swedish tradition, combining the care for wood as material with the sense for beauty and function.
Awards: Forsnäs-priset 1986, Utmärkt Svensk Form (Excellent Swedish Design) 1987, 1988,
1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997; Guldstolen (The Golden Chair) 1992.
